We are pleased to inform you that we have included the Maternal Sheep, Lambs and Rams, which we have grazed on the highlands of Thrace, adorned with natural grasses throughout the spring and summer months, in our special fattening program for the QURBANI Feast and Picnic Season on our farm with 40 acres of open space and 40 acres of closed space.

Along with vaccinating the animals we raise against diseases, we also apply preventive medication against internal and external parasites.

Our feed program includes sunflower, corn, barley, soybeans and wheat; roughage needs are met with dried alfalfa, meadow and oat grasses, and vitamin and mineral needs are added to the daily feed mix with salts provided from natural sources.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION:

• Healthy and young animals of local breeds that have grazed in organic pastures of Thrace where no agricultural pesticides are applied are fattened.

• The fattening development and maturation periods are completed on our farm and natural feeds are used during this period.

• Antibiotics and growth promoters that accelerate growth are never used.

• Food industry or slaughterhouse waste by-products are not considered as food source feed materials. Feeds that negatively affect the quality of meat and body fat are not used.

• Seasonal cleaning is carried out against internal and external parasites and timely vaccination is carried out against important diseases.

• The “pre-slaughter holding period” is applied seriously to eliminate the risk of drug residue in animal tissues that can be used as human food.

• Animal rights are highly respected, along with good herd management and animal care practices.

• During the picnic season, slaughtering is done in a licensed private slaughterhouse; food hygiene rules are followed during slaughtering and meat processing to a great extent. During Eid al-Adha, slaughtering is done in separate sections of the farm that have been washed and disinfected for this purpose.

• Developments in veterinary directives determined and approved by the European Union and local official authorities are closely followed and implemented.

• Synthetic food additives are not used. During the picnic season, natural maturation is done in the cold chain to preserve the unique flavor and color of the meat.

Our animals and products are under the supervision of a veterinarian 24 hours a day in every detail.
